Meet Our Main Players
Baby Blue Rags
Baby Blue Rags is a tough, street-raised kid shaped by the absence of real stability and guidance. Growing up in the projects with a drug-addicted mother and a father serving a life sentence for a fatal drive-by, Blue learned early to rely on himself and the older gang members in his neighborhood, who became his only father figures. His dream is to one day earn respect as an O.G., believing strength and fearlessness are the only ways to survive. Distrustful of authority and slow to let anyone in, Blue operates on his own terms and answers only to those he respects. After his mother was ordered into rehab and a gang fight at a school football game got him expelled, Blue was sent to Falcon Ridge Center School for the HAVE NOTTS—where his loyalty, leadership instincts, and buried grief begin to collide with the chance for a different path.

Obesity Orval
Obesity Orval is a gentle, big-hearted kid who wants to lose weight and fit in but lacks the confidence to break lifelong habits. Growing up in poverty with an abusive, food-controlling mother shaped his emotional eating, which worsened after her death from a heart attack. Orval’s shame led to repeated school absences and placement at Falcon Ridge Center School for the HAVE NOTTS, where he now lives with his uncle. Polite but guarded, Orval treasures friendship and sharing with others. Through mentorship, self-reflection, and learning that everyone has value, he decides to take responsibility for his health and future.

Butch the Bully
Butch is a large, aggressive 14-year-old who uses intimidation and fighting to hide deep insecurity. After years of being teased for his stutter, he learned that violence earned him respect, shaping his dream of becoming a UFC fighter. When his parents were killed in a car accident, Butch and his sister were placed in foster care, leaving him angry, guarded, and disconnected from everyone except her. Expelled from public school for bullying and fighting, Butch’s world begins to shift after a confrontation with Mischievous Tony forces him to face himself. With guidance from Mrs. Nichole, he starts to realize that real strength comes from seeking help and finding his voice.

Fat Freeda
Fat Freeda is a kind-hearted, overweight kid who struggles with food, self-confidence, and self-control. Raised in a low-income trailer park by an abusive mother who forced unhealthy eating, Freeda fell into depression after her mother died from obesity-related illness. Ashamed of her weight, she missed too many days of school and now attends Falcon Ridge Center School for the HAVE NOTTS while living with her uncle. Though quiet and reserved, Freeda is deeply generous and loyal once she opens up. Encouraged by friends and guided by caring teachers, she learns that she is unique, valued, and capable of making healthier choices.

Big Kathy
Big Kathy is Butch’s tough, protective older sister, equally known for her size and aggression. After losing their parents in a tragic car wreck, she and Butch were passed into the foster system with no family to take them in, hardening her attitude toward the world. While she dreams of becoming a volleyball player, Kathy channels her grief and fear into bullying smaller kids, using dominance as armor. Loyal only to her brother, she slowly begins to understand that bullying masks pain—and that courage means choosing a better path.

Mischievous Tony
Mischievous Tony is a sharp-tongued, charismatic 15-year-old who stirs trouble as easily as he inspires confidence in others. Born Black, missing fingers on one hand, and raised in deep poverty, Tony learned early that words could be just as powerful as fists. After his mother fell into drug addiction, he was sent to live with his elderly grandmother, a shift that left him angry, restless, and fighting to be seen. Teased for his hand and expelled from public school for fighting, Tony now attends Falcon Ridge Center School for the HAVE NOTTS. A natural leader with big dreams of playing sports and going pro, Tony realizes that controlling his anger—and refusing to let his disability define him—is the key to earning respect and building the future he believes he deserves.
